Julie Laraway is a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 20 years of experience, specializing in therapy for children, adolescents, and adults.
She is passionate about helping individuals and families navigate anxiety, trauma, and grief, restoring hope and fostering healing across all stages of life.
Julie specializes in supporting clients facing anxiety, trauma, grief, and life transitions. With advanced training in play therapy for younger clients and evidence-based treatments for all ages, she provides a tailored approach that fosters resilience, confidence, and emotional well-being.
Julie earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Portland and her Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University. Early in her career, she gained extensive experience in community mental health, working with diverse populations, including children, families, and youth in the juvenile justice system. This experience deepened her passion for supporting individuals of all ages, leading to her specialized private practice.
With specialized certifications as an Expert Trauma Professional and Grief Specialist, Julie provides compassionate support to those navigating trauma, grief, and major life transitions. Her expertise allows her to guide clients through difficult emotions and experiences, helping them regain a sense of safety, connection, and emotional balance.
Julie takes a collaborative, client-centered approach, tailoring therapy to meet each individual’s needs. She integrates gold-standard, evidence-based treatments—including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-informed care, and play therapy for younger clients—to help clients develop coping skills, improve emotional regulation, and foster lasting resilience.
